Priority Lane: ICON DENIM turns the airport into the new catwalk
For Fall/Winter 2026-2027, ICON DENIM takes us to a world where international terminals, city trips and endless departures are the inspiration for a new generation of travelwear. With the Priority Lanecollection, the denim brand translates the effortless cool of celebrity airport looks into a wardrobe that seamlessly combines comfort, functionality and urban style.
Where airports were once mere transit spots, today they have become fashion arenas where stars showcase their most relaxed but carefully curated outfits. That casual elegance is the starting point of the new collection. Think silhouettes designed to move without sacrificing charisma.
Travelwear becomes the new luxury
FW26/27 marks a clear shift in how we look at luxury. No longer is it about rigid tailoring or outspoken glamour, but clothes that adapt effortlessly to a life on the move. Comfort takes on a premium look, while functionality becomes a design element in its own right.
We see this in the rise of roomy silhouettes, utility details and layered looks that are as suitable for a flight as for a day on the town. The new generation of denim follows the same direction: looser, bulkier and more architectural. Classic jeans shapes give way to sculptural lines, rounded volumes and innovative constructions that give the silhouette a new dynamism.
From workwear to elevated casual
The enduring influence of workwear also continues to shape the fashion scene. Functional elements are refined and given a more fashionable interpretation. Think utility pockets, technical details and versatile pieces that fulfil multiple functions within one look.
Flannel is making a notable comeback in this respect. The material, for years associated with traditional workwear and grunge, appears in a more sophisticated context this season. Checked patterns are combined with monochrome looks and tonal styling, giving them a modern, urban feel.
Fifty shades of grey
On the colour front, FW26/27 shows a striking preference for cool, urban tones. Grey evolves from supporting base colour to absolute protagonist. From soft mist tones to deep anthracite nuances, the colour palette reflects the atmosphere of modern metropolises, industrial architecture and winter skylines.
These subdued colours reinforce the growing demand for versatile wardrobe pieces that remain relevant season after season. At the same time, different textures make minimalist looks feel anything but flat. Brushed fabrics, tactile surfaces and rich materials add depth without disturbing the calmness of the silhouette.
